This session will highlight the basics of web scraping using python as coding platform. It will include the why, do's and don'ts of web scraping as well as the ethical practices such as respecting the robot.txt. Through a code demo i will explain the different capabilities of browsing static sites through requests library as well as dynamic sites through selenium. Sites will be scraped using dom elements as well as circumventing login pages, etc...
Finally i will showcase the data harvested using a data visualization platform such as PowerBI
