Generative AI and Cybersecurity: Leveraging Gemini for Advanced Protection
Space Invaders
Thursday 18 July, 13:00 - 13:45
My session is focused on how use of Large Language models and Generative AI can be leveraged in the field of cybersecurity. This is a visionary that is being practiced but can be developed a lot further than this.
In the rapidly evolving digital landscape, the threats to cybersecurity are becoming increasingly sophisticated. Traditional security measures are often insufficient to combat these emerging threats. This talk explores the transformative potential of Generative AI, with a focus on advanced language models like Gemini, in enhancing cybersecurity defenses. Generative AI models have demonstrated remarkable capabilities in generating human-like text, which can be leveraged for a variety of applications, including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability analysis. We will delve into how these models can be integrated into cybersecurity frameworks to automate and enhance the detection of complex threats, generate synthetic data for training, and assist in real-time decision-making. Through detailed examples and case studies, we will illustrate the practical applications and benefits of using Generative AI in cybersecurity, while also addressing the associated challenges and ethical considerations.
